Jump Start Enrollment Program
The Jump Start Enrollment Program is a virtual two-step process for students to complete starting June 15, 2022. First, students will participate in an online mini-course designed as a guide that provides them with “how to” instructions to finish their enrollment requirements and introduce them to many campus resources. Once students complete the mini-course lesson on academic tools, they will be provided directions on how to register for an advising appointment. In addition, each student will be assigned a Transition Mentor (a current Fredonia student) to help them complete the program and answer any questions they may have throughout the process.
To help students feel more comfortable with the campus, we will be inviting those who have deposited for the fall semester to participate in a special summer visit. These FREDReady Days are optional visits that will feature a campus tour, enrollment workshop, and opportunity to process their FREDCard. These will take place on July 8, 11, 13, and 15 between 11 a.m.- 4 p.m.
New Student Orientation
New students will move into residence halls starting on Thursday, August 18 and participate in a three-day New Student Orientation program taking place Friday, August 19 - Sunday, August 21. Our primary goals are to help welcome students to Fredonia’s academic community, encourage them to engage with support resources early, and navigate the campus prior to class starting. A full schedule of events will be shared with campus shortly.
Thank you for your support in this campus-wide effort to provide critical programming to the incoming class. Your participation is sincerely appreciated and positively influences a student’s transition to Fredonia.
