Kerrie Fergen Wilkes, Reed Library Interim Director
REED LIBRARY HOURS
Reed Library will be open to Fredonia students, faculty, and staff during the following hours:
From Monday, Nov. 30 to Friday, Dec. 11:
Please note that during this period, Fredonia librarians will be providing Reference service virtually:
Reference assistance is available at all times through Reed's 24/7 Reference chat service.
Reed Library reminds faculty, staff, and students to return their library books prior to leaving campus for Thanksgiving Break. Library materials can be returned to any service point during library hours. Returns are also welcome in any of our 3 campus book drops (click here for a map of book drop locations).
Patrons who have already left campus are welcome to mail materials back to:
280 Central Ave.
Fredonia, NY 14063
Patrons are also welcome to return books at participating SUNY institutions.
Returns will be reflected in your library account 72-96 hours after receipt due to the mandatory quarantine period.
All fines will be waived and all blocks will be removed from your account when overdue materials are returned.
Do you need to keep your items longer? Request a renewal by logging in to My Library Card with your eServices username and password. Most library materials, except music scores, DVDs, and CDs, circulate for one 16-week loan period plus one 16-week renewal for students. Faculty may request up to two 16-week renewals on books. For more information, please check out our circulation policies here.
Interlibrary Loan renewals are approved at the discretion of the lending library; most will only allow one 30-day renewal, while many SUNY libraries allow one 16-week renewal. Patrons may request an Interlibrary Loan renewal by following the same procedure listed above, or by contacting the ILL Office directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have questions, please contact Reed Library’s Circulation Desk at email@example.com.
