Students: Apply for SUNY’s Building Bridges Grants (up to $5,000)

SUNY is launching the Building Bridges Student Grant Competition to support student-led projects that bring people together across differences—promoting civil discourse, anti-hate and bias prevention, and constructive dialogue on our campuses. 

Who’s eligible to apply 

  • Applicants: Current degree-seeking students at SUNY Fredonia
  • Eligible groups: Official student clubs, recognized organizations, fraternities & sororities, athletic teams, and other registered student groups
  • Sponsor required: Each project must have a faculty or campus administrator sponsor; a brief letter or email of support from the sponsor must be included with the application 

What’s available 

  • One-time, non-renewable grants up to $5,000
  • Five awards across SUNY for compelling, mission-aligned projects that bring diverse students together and strengthen community
