Tutoring Now Available!

Date Posted:

Tutoring has begun for the Spring 2024 semester!

Tutoring is available on the Fourth Floor of the Reed Library (Carnahan Jackson Center) and Mason Hall room 202o (Music).  All tutoring is on a drop-in basis, meaning students do not need to sign-up or schedule an appointment.  They just stop by during regularly scheduled hours.  Each week we offer almost 140 hours of tutoring in most subject areas, including writing.  For a complete schedule (by discipline) visit our website.  Whether students need help passing a course or they are looking to turn a 'B' into an 'A', our tutors are Fredonia students who know what it takes to be successful.  They can help students understand difficult material and learn skills necessary for academic success.

Now Hiring for 2024 - 2025

Tutoring Services is currently accepting applications from students wishing to join our team for the 2024 - 2025 academic year.  Tutors are paid to work regularly scheduled hours and are provided training.   Being a tutor is a great way for students to  provide an important service to the Fredonia campus while enhancing their own learning.  Past tutors have reported this experience to be a strong credential in seeking admission to graduate programs and competing for jobs, fellowships, and teaching positions.

One of the most important factors in maintaining a high quality tutoring service is faculty/staff involvement in the recruitment process.  We ask faculty to speak directly with their strongest students and encourage them to apply.

The deadline for applications is Friday, April 5th at 4:00pm.  Applications are available online and require references from at least two faculty in the area they are applying.
